Our Global Brand, Marketing & Communications team are looking for an experienced and highly capable marketing professional to join this high performing team in the role of Expert Lead Media, Analytics & Insights

The Global Brand & Marcomm ambition is to establish a truly differentiating and effective brand across all markets and business lines that we operate in. A key enabler in meeting this ambition is the ongoing development of world class media, analytics & insights capabilities across our global markets.

As a leader and deep expert in the media, analytics & insights fields, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the global strategic direction and capabilities growth of these important specialisms.

The Team

You will lead the Media, Analytics & Insights team (currently consisting of 2 research experts) and report into the Head of Global Brand & Marcomm. Brand & Marcomm sits within the Global Brand, Marketing & Communications Department.

Roles and responsibilities

Leadership

  • As part of the Global Brand, Marketing & Communication leadership team you will have the responsibility of contributing towards driving impact, culture and capabilities within the department

  • Establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the local ING markets and within the ING head office

  • Building a connected and engaged community across the media, performance marketing & insights specialities while also working in tandem with colleagues within the Brand Strategy and Brand Experience teams

Media

  • Driving the global media operating model and global agency teams to deliver a strong, innovative, and effective global media agenda through the entirety of the marketing funnel;

  • Implementation and management of strategic global partnerships with key media partners (like Meta, Google, & Tiktok) to generate benefits for the local markets;

  • Orchestrate performance marketing function for group, including but not limited to sharing of insight, cross market collaboration and capabilities improvement

  • Set and drive global standards to extract maximum value from marketing technology and platforms while allowing for local flexibility and channel nuances

  • Foster a culture of experimentation and upskilling around new media platforms, tools and tech capabilities

  • Collaborate with global procurement/risk/DPO to evaluate and implement new tools and technology for the benefit of local markets

  • Champion a culture of best in class marketing effectiveness across the organisation and group

  • Lead strategic delivery of key global effectiveness requirements including platforms, tooling, and measurement strategies that align with business objectives and performance;

  • Further analysis and modelling for communications and marketing effectiveness and budget health metrics, as well as building framework and enablers for campaign effectiveness;

  • Collaborating with local teams on effectiveness projects e.g. Marketing Mix Modelling, to maximise media and marketing impact for brand and business;

  • Supporting production of meaningful communications, marketing and media KPI dashboards and delivery of performance reports with actionable insight;

  • Continuing development of necessary Ad/Martech tools providing marketing capabilities with a consistent and efficient global approach;

Insights

  • Leading the delivery and management of ING global brand measurement across the entirety of the group, including both retail and wholesale banking,

  • Leading the delivery and management of ING global reputation measurement

  • Leading the coordination of global research programs, providing accurate and timely analysis, not only with findings but also by providing strategic growth drivers and insights to key local and global stakeholders;

We are looking for the following experience:

  • Minimum 12+ years professional experience in brand & marketing, preferably in the financial services or banking sector

  • 12+ years experience with stakeholder management and complex multi-national organizational structures

  • Master degree in marketing or other relevant field

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with business tools e.g. PPT, Excel, Outlook

  • Strong experience and passion for both traditional and digital media;

  • Experience in agency management and coordination

  • Proven track record in being able to translate data into clear and compelling narratives to influence and drive strategic decision-making;

  • Experience in building strong and credible relationships with key stakeholders and senior management;

  • Experience with leading a team of professionals;

  • Excellent level in English spoken and written

  • Willing to travel to ING markets, and to support projects locally if required

  • Strong communication and marketing knowledge

  • Great understanding of marketing analytics, research techniques, modelling and measurement along with brand, comms and business understanding

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and deliver innovation and new technologies within a marketing and communications ecosystem;

  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and think outside of the box;

  • Flexible, likes to explore, can handle changes, and dynamic project boundaries

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

  • Strong multitasking, accuracy and prioritizing skills in fast paced environment

  • Shows initiative, is pro-active and self-starting, and is a resourceful problem-solver
