Job Description

Sandoz continues to go through an exciting and transformative period as a global leader and pioneering provider of sustainable Biosimilar and Generic medicines. As we continue down this new and ambitious path, unique opportunities will present themselves, both professionally and personally. Join us, the future is ours to shape!

As the Global Head of Market Access, you will lead global market access strategy for Sandoz biosimilars, ensuring competitive, sustainable access and pricing across priority markets. This role focuses on delivering global launch readiness, pricing governance, and core market access materials that enable regions and countries to execute effectively. Additionally, the role will own lifecycle management (LCM) and Target Product Profile (TPP) processes end-to-end commercially.

Major accountabilities:

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Define and execute global market access strategy for biosimilars, aligned with commercial priorities and launch sequencing.

  • Support launch planning with market sequencing, ensuring readiness for priority markets and alignment with regional strategies – collaborating with the global TA leads/brand directors and the cross functional planning teams.

  • Establish and govern global list price frameworks, including guidance for floor and reference pricing to support competitive positioning.

  • Develop and deliver core global market access materials, including payer value propositions, global dossiers, and pricing guidance for launches and lifecycle management.

  • Shape tender launch strategy at a global level, providing strategic direction and best practices for regional execution (without operational tender management) – collaborating with regional access teams.

  • Own LCM and TPP processes end-to-end commercially, ensuring integration of market access requirements into product development and lifecycle planning.

  • Support U.S. market access strategy, collaborating closely with local teams to address payer dynamics and policy considerations – support private labels from a global standpoint.

  • Manage global market access planning and budget, ensuring resources are allocated to high-impact biosimilar launches and in-market brands.

  • Build and lead a high-performing global access team, including expertise in pricing, HEOR, and policy shaping.

This role is critical to transforming how Sandoz communicates with customers and stakeholders worldwide—making marketing more agile, efficient, and impactful.

Minimum Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, economics, or business; MBA or PharmD preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical market access at global or regional level, with strong biosimilars expertise.

  • Deep expertise in pricing governance and payer engagement is required.

  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to execute in complex, fast-changing environments.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring and aligning diverse teams.

  • International mindset with cultural awareness, ideally gained through global roles or living abroad.

  • Broad therapeutic exposure (e.g., Immunology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Endocrinology) is a plus.

  • Understanding of U.S. market access dynamics is desirable.

  • Demonstrated success in building partnerships and collaborating with external stakeholders.

  • Strong track record of leading within matrix organizations and influencing across functions.

  • Ability to prioritize resources and deliver critical initiatives under competitive conditions with agility and pragmatism.

  • Resilient and adaptable, thriving in dynamic business contexts.

  • Proven ownership and accountability for projects or products, setting ambitious goals and driving results.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and align diverse interests across geographies.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
