POSITION PURPOSE

The Global Forum Manager consults and advises as a subject matter expert to create business value within the Chapters and Regions channel through the consultation and communication of Forum /products, programs, and services in the delivery of world class forum and education programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically and proactively partner with channel stakeholders to promote, deliver, and support Forum content and products to add member value at the chapter and the regional level.

  • As subject matter expert, provide training and coaching of content and products to key management associates based in channel(s) of support to ensure the correct utilization and delivery of products.

  • As the channel partner, advise the Forum team on insights, initiatives and best practices gathered from the channel to incorporate in products.

  • Build and establish relationships with Learning Development, Chapters and Regions and other teams that impact Forums goals and initiatives.

  • Engage in recommending experts and collaborators in support of a unique forum community in the respective channel of support.

  • Serves as business partner for the channel, establishing regular communication and providing insights from the department and committees goals and initiatives to achieve on agreed KPI’s.

  • Provide strategic support to channel’s annual priorities by helping to develop and achieve strategic plans and goals for forum and as per agreed KPI’s.

  • Provide advisory services on program design best practices, relevant in-house tools, content, and resources, that allow for the forum and educational health of the channel to flourish.

  • Provide relevant data and analysis to support the health of forum and in the channel by utilizing tools and resources to assist the channel in determining needs to support data-driven decisions to provide best-in-class opportunities for peer-to-peer connections.

  • Support the design and delivery of officer education workshops at global levels as required.

  • Provide support and content for the Forum department to the relevant stakeholder(s) in Chapters and Regions.

  • Support Champion Recognition program in the respective channel.

  • Support global program design and development work for YPO champions and members across the organization.

  • Support technology-enabled solutions for forum experiences in collaboration with team members.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural organization with international members, helping them achieve excellence in voluntary roles for YPO initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, adept at building meaningful relationships with all levels of associates, members and vendors. Adaptable, insightful, empathetic and reliable.

  • Able to maintain discretion and integrity of confidential information.

  • Resourceful and able to work independently with initiative and good judgement. Effective time management, organization and prioritization, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Possesses a distinct global mindset, sensitive to local and international customs and protocols.

  • A solid understanding of program / project management principles to effectively participate and execute programs and projects.

  • Able to identify problems, research alternatives, provide solutions and/or resolve issues in a timely manner. Anticipates member needs and delivers with clarity.

  • Analytical with ability to influence and guide appropriately and execute. Natural curiosity and desire to learn more; proficiency and interest in applying new technologies and tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proof reading, with a meticulous attention to detail. Adjusts communication style appropriately to the audience.

  • Professional presence and demeanor to interact easily with YPO members, C-level executives and high-profile corporate leaders.

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management and/or adult learning.

  • 5+ years of relationship management experience, in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Relevant experience designing and delivering programs.

  • Experience in supporting and executing multiple stakeholder goals and deliverables.

  • Membership or association experience preferred, with awareness of governance structures.

  • Experience in professional services and/or event planning environments with multiple stakeholder groups/committees and consensus management preferred.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (required) and CRM software (preferred).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate members and team members in multiple time zones.

  • Ability to work for extended hours at a computer screen.

  • Willingness and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, without restrictions, approximately 25% per year.
