A Little About Us

The Global Events & Experiential Marketing Intern supports the strategic planning, execution and oversight of company events which include IRL & virtual tradeshows, conferences, B2B client events and tentpoles and internal company events, in addition to event support for  key brands owned and operated by Yahoo such as Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Finance, MAKERS, and others. These events are closely aligned with the corporate marketing and sales strategy. This position will support various tasks as assigned on all elements of a program; including research, registration and list management, and vendor relations. This individual must be a team player, who can multi-task and is willing to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Global Events team on both internal and external virtual and in-person events. 

  • Being highly dynamic, entrepreneurial, resourceful, detail-minded, organized, capable of working under pressure, and committed to delivering the best, all while maintaining a great sense of humor and team collaboration throughout the process.

  • Being interested in the event marketing landscape, up on current trends, and ideation for delivering impactful events. 

  • Assisting Global Events team with administrative tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Managing and tracking multiple project deliverables and timelines in Google Sheets 

  • Creating registration forms and tracking event attendance using various event platforms such as SplashThat 

  • Data and analytics entry

  • Creating decks in Google Slides 

  • Research and sharing relevant and creative event examples

  • Connect with existing and potential premium vendors to identify trends 

Required Experience

  • You are actively enrolled in Bachelor's program and have a strong record of academic achievement

  • You are able to complete an 8-12 week internship over the summer

  • Knowledgeable of Google Suite

  • Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to priority projects based on current sprint deadlines

  • Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency

  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability

The compensation for this position ranges from $24-$52/hr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.Our comprehensive benefits include a great 401k, company holidays, and wellness programs.
