As the Global Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s global strategy, overseeing financial operations across multiple regions and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. You will make high-level decisions that drive organizational success, develop and implement global reporting strategies, and lead a diverse team of professionals. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic acumen, and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization, driving growth and operational excellence across all business units.


The impact you'll have:

  • Develop and execute global financial strategies, aligning with the company’s long-term vision and driving international growth and profitability.
  • Lead and manage a global accounting team, setting clear goals and objectives to ensure alignment with the company's strategic priorities.
  • Make high-level decisions impacting the organization’s success, balancing global business units with overarching corporate goals.
  • Support the financial planning processes across all regions by providing the necessary financial data to prepare a fulsome annual plan.
  • Drive the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and supporting details to the leadership team, executive leadership and the board of directors.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and local regulations, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and transparency.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, regulatory bodies, and external partners, representing the company at the highest levels.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance financial systems, processes, and controls, implementing best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for finance leaders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance across the global finance team.
  • Drive organizational change by championing innovative financial practices and strategies, ensuring the finance function evolves to meet changing business needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive team culture, encouraging collaboration, professional growth, and the achievement of excellence in all financial activities

What you'll bring:

  • 12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role overseeing global finance operations.
  • Expertise in advanced accounting software and ERP systems and experience in building effective and efficient reporting.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving complex business challenges.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing global accounting team.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at the executive and board level.
  • Deep knowledge of international accounting standards, financial regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic financial plans that drive business growth.
  • Experience in leading change management initiatives and driving innovation within the finance function.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, with a passion for staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.

U.S. Pay Range
$170,000$190,000 USD

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
