The Global Compensation & Benefits Manager plays a critical role in shaping, managing, and continuously improving ABBYY’s global Total Rewards framework. This role combines strategic program ownership with handson operational execution across compensation, benefits, and governance. You will partner closely with the Director, Engagement and collaborate with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Finance, Payroll, Legal, and thirdparty vendors to ensure our compensation and benefits programs are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with ABBYY’s global philosophy. 

This role requires strong analytical capability, sound judgment, and an ability to translate complex data into clear insights and scalable solutions. You will influence global Total Rewards strategy while ensuring excellence and accuracy in daytoday program delivery. 

 Key Responsibilities 

Global Compensation Management 

  • Lead preparation and delivery of the annual compensation cycle, including merit, promotion, market adjustments, and performance bonus administration. 
  • Oversee global market benchmarking using compensation surveys (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Culpepper) and recommend adjustments to salary ranges and job architecture. 
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to set salary range positions, advise on offer strategies, and ensure internal equity. 
  • Own and maintain global salary structures, ensuring alignment with market data, internal equity, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Develop compensation dashboards, insights, and executive-ready recommendations. 
  • Manage governance and compliance for all global compensation practices. 

Global Benefits Management 

  • Oversee evaluation, design, and delivery of ABBYY’s global benefits programs, including health, retirement, statutory benefits, wellness, and regionspecific offerings. 
  • Lead market assessments to ensure competitiveness, costeffectiveness, and alignment with global principles. 
  • Manage renewals, broking activities, and open enrollment processes. 
  • Develop employee-facing benefits materials (benefits guides, FAQs, communication plans) in partnership with Internal Comms. 
  • Drive standardisation and harmonisation where appropriate, while respecting local statutory requirements. 

Data, Reporting & Governance 

  • Own all global compensation and benefits data within HR systems and reporting tools. 
  • Build and maintain regular and ad hoc C&B reporting covering cost, utilization, distribution, and program effectiveness. 
  • Identify data gaps and drive improvements to processes, tools, and controls. 
  • Support internal and SOX audit activity through accurate documentation and compliance with governance frameworks. 
  • Uphold global data privacy requirements, including GDPR and local regulations. 

CrossFunctional Leadership & Vendor Management 

  • Partner with People Operations to ensure accurate and timely execution of compensation and benefits transactions. 
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Finance on costing, payments, and budgeting for compensation and benefits programs. 
  • Manage relationships with global and regional vendors, ensuring SLA adherence and service quality. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Engagement Partners and managers, providing guidance aligned with global Total Rewards frameworks. 
  • Support clear, effective Total Rewards communication strategies across the organisation. 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • 5–8 years of experience in Compensation, Benefits, or Total Rewards, with exposure to global programs. 
  • Strong command of compensation benchmarking tools (Radford, Mercer, Culpepper). 
  • Experience partnering crossfunctionally with TA, People Ops, Finance, Payroll, and Legal. 
  • Prior experience supporting multiple countries and navigating diverse regulatory environments. 
  • Experience managing vendors and external partners preferred. 

 Skills & Capabilities 

  • Advanced analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy. 
  • High proficiency in Excel/Sheets; experience with Power BI or Tableau a plus. 
  • Ability to convert complex data into actionable insights and recommendations. 
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work in a global, matrixed environment. 
  • Excellent organizational skills; able to lead multiple processes across global cycles. 
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. 
  • A global mindset, cultural awareness, and an inclusive approach to decision-making. 

 

Tools & Technology 

  • HRIS experience (HiBob preferred; equivalent systems such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors also valuable). 
  • Compensation survey platforms (Radford, Mercer, Culpepper). 
  • Familiarity with global payroll or finance systems (e.g., ADP, NetSuite). 

Compliance & Governance 

  • Knowledge of global statutory requirements, including statutory benefits, minimums, and local market norms. 
  • Awareness of pay transparency regulations (EU/US) and their impact on compensation structures. 
  • Strong understanding of data privacy laws (GDPR and local equivalents) and secure handling of compensation data. 

Salary Range

The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $119,000 and $142,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
