In this role, you’ll drive strategic partnerships and innovative business opportunities that enhance the PlayStation platform experience for millions of players worldwide.

About the Role

As Manager, you’ll partner across teams to identify, evaluate, and launch opportunities that shape the future of the PlayStation platform. You’ll lead initiatives that combine market insights, data analysis, and strategic thinking to inform senior leadership decisions and strengthen PlayStation’s global alliances.

  • Lead strategic analysis: Develop financial models, business cases, and strategic frameworks to inform deal structures and support decision-making.
  • Influence PlayStation’s strategy: Contribute to global strategy development across non-gaming media services, new product verticals, and experimental experiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with internal teams (marketing, product, engineering, legal, etc.) to deliver seamless execution and scalable business opportunities.
  • Champion data-driven insights: Lead data analytics projects to inform business decisions and identify emerging industry trends.
  • Build strong partnerships: Manage relationships pre- and post-deal, define co-marketing strategies, and conduct quarterly partner reviews.
  • Represent PlayStation: Present business proposals and updates to senior leaders, including executive stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, strategy, consulting, or investment banking. Background in digital media, technology, or gaming preferred.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and strategic evaluation.
  • Proven ability to foster partnerships and collaborate with diverse, global teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills, including the ability to present to executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with digital entertainment, distribution models, and consumer trends.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools.
  • Genuine interest in media, technology, and gaming.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, JD, or related advanced degree a plus.

Why Join Us:

  • Be part of an innovative team shaping the future of PlayStation and interactive entertainment.
  • Work with passionate colleagues who bring diverse perspectives to solve big challenges.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
