The Job:  

As a Global Brand Manager, you’ll be part of our BLACK + DECKER team working as a remote employee. Global Brand Management builds and executes comprehensive global brand strategies aligned to achieve organizational brand growth goals. This function is laser focused by brand and aligned by category to identify, understand and drive end-user messaging and build equity strategies that will be relevant, creative and compelling. Global Brand Management will create brand positioning, brand fundamentals and brand equity creative & messaging, as well as key global category, product messaging and marketing playbooks for NPD. The Global Brand Management teams will also influence product and category decisions, brand visual design language and brand digital master creative and architecture. This team will ensure regional activation teams, licensing partners and other organizational stakeholders are executing in a manner supporting the Global Brand Equity. 

The BLACK+DECKER Global Brand Manager will be responsible for planning, development and execution of comprehensive brand marketing strategies including, but not limited to supporting including global brand planning, global campaign development, integration with product launch planning, supporting definition of messaging positioning, photography, video and collateral development.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, out-of-the-box thinker, who will be proactive and look to identify opportunities to streamline processes and work cross-functionally with Category Management, Product Management, our Internal Agency (Studio), Insights, Regional Brand Teams (EMEA, Latin America, North America, and Asia) and Digital Marketing teams to drive strategic and creative marketing solutions.

You’ll get to:  

  • Understand vision and support development of equity for the future of the brand. Build strategies and tactical plans that support said vision through a multi-year roadmap, elevating our brand positioning in the hearts and minds of end users supporting delivery of target brand KPI’s including share and perception change.
  • Manage brand marketing campaigns, including content and full campaign toolkit creation, optimizations and reporting.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and vendor partners to deliver improved end user experience across all touchpoints (online and offline).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and with agency partners to plan, develop and deliver dynamic, world-class content.
  • Partner with the research team to gain insight into how our user segments experience the brand to create user-based benefit driven campaigns for core and new product categories.
  • Enroll and engage product and commercial partners and senior leadership to plans proposed.
  • Work with Global Marketing Digital team on objectives, KPI alignment and tracking of digital ecosystem and make recommendations to improve executions.
  • Executes deliverables by proactively driving collaboration and communication across project stakeholders
  • Leads the development and execution of new product launch plans
  • Full campaign execution
  • Calls out and brings forward identified gaps, needs, interdependencies, wins, and challenges impacting the brand’s success

  • Have 3+ years of brand marketing experience.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Experience in Brand Campaign Development & Execution
  • Experience with launching brand marketing campaigns, developing content & messaging strategies, leverage insights to drive decisions, optimizing and reporting out on performance.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong business acumen, including financial/budget management skills.
  • The individual will demonstrate accountability, works with integrity and responds with speed
  • Communicates consistently & effectively throughout organization (up, across and down)
  • Excels at listening, flexible with changing environment, and has strong time Management & Planning
  • Demonstrates brand ownership, End User Insights Experience
