Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.

Role Summary:

The Global Account Manager (GAM) at Snowflake is responsible for owning the global strategy and revenue growth for one of Snowflake’s most critical Fortune 100 Technology customers.

This position offers the opportunity to lead the global strategy for a top-tier technology customer. You will hold a dual responsibility: managing a direct report Account Executive and orchestrating a dedicated technical team to drive large-scale digital transformation. This is a high-visibility role where you will oversee significant revenue targets and shape the long-term data roadmap for one of Snowflake's most critical accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Account Strategy: Develop and execute a multi-year strategic account plan, mapping Snowflake’s Data Cloud to specific business units (e.g., Global Supply Chain, Collaboration Tools, Security, and Internal IT).

  • Team Management: Directly manage and mentor a dedicated Account Executive. Provide coaching on sales methodology, deal structure, and performance.

  • Orchestration: Lead a cross-functional "pod" (including dedicated Sales Engineers, Professional Services, and Executives) to execute the account strategy effectively.

  • Sales Execution: Rigorously apply the MEDDPICC methodology to qualify, forecast, and close complex, seven-and-eight-figure consumption deals.

  • Executive Alignment: Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders (CIO, CTO, CDO), positioning Snowflake as the core of their data architecture.

  • Technical Credibility: Articulate the value of the Data Cloud against legacy on-premise solutions and competitor clouds, demonstrating a clear understanding of the technical landscape.

  • Revenue Growth: Identify new use cases within the account to drive Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and new workload adoption.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 12+ years of enterprise field sales experience, with a specific focus on selling Data, Cloud, or SaaS infrastructure to Large Enterprise Technology companies.

  • Sales Frameworks: Proven expert-level application of MEDDPICC or similar sales methodologies in complex selling environments.

  • Leadership: Prior experience managing direct reports (AEs) or acting in a formal team lead capacity with a track record of mentoring talent.

  • Deal Acumen: Demonstrated history of closing complex, multi-year, seven-figure+ deals. Must demonstrate the ability to grow a strategic account from ~$1M to $10M+.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of the cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP), data warehousing, and the specific data challenges faced by global technology manufacturers.

  • Communication: Strong executive presence. Ability to negotiate with sophisticated procurement teams and present to technical C-suite audiences.

  • Collaboration: Ability to operate in a matrixed environment, working closely with Partners, Marketing, Legal, and Product teams.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
