POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic GL Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves assisting with financial transactions recording, supporting the month-end closing process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and collaborating with the finance team to meet the deadline. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. 

  • Work with the team on the month-end and year-end closing processes. 

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Manage Credit Card and receipts, and post payments in Net-Suite 

  • Process accounts receivable, accounts payable transactions 

  • Support the finance team with auditing, and reconciliation tax processes 

  • Prepare financial reports, including Income Statement, cash flow, and balance sheets 

  • Collaborate with the order processing team to ensure orders are accurately managed and closed on time. 

  • Verify that opportunities in Salesforce are accurate before processing orders and issuing invoices. 

  • Performs additional duties and ad hoc projects as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

  • Degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent practical experience. 

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment. 

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). 

  • Proficiency in accounting and sales software (NetSuite and Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel. 

  • Experience with month-end closing. 

  • Experience with tax filings, including US and Canadian sales tax reporting and compliance 

  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities as well as bookkeeping procedures  

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to be poised and polished under pressure  

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams with excellent written and verbal English communication skills 

  

Salary Range *: 75-85k USD annually
