Generative AI Prompt Engineering Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated Generative AI Prompt Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2025. In this role, you will help enhance our content identification and categorization capabilities using state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Zefr’s evolving AI strategy, work closely with product managers, engineers, and Go-To-Market team members, shaping how AI is used to understand and label content in a responsible and scalable way.

• Design, test, and refine prompts for large language models (e.g., GPT-4, Gemini) to improve content classification accuracy across categories like theme and suitability

• Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to develop robust prompt workflows and evaluation metrics.

• Assist in fine-tuning model behaviors to better reflect Zefr’s taxonomy and content labeling standards

• Partner with Zefr’s client facing teams to better understand customer perspectives on content decisioning, and ensure alignment within classification outputs.

• Conduct research on emerging best practices in prompt engineering, model alignment, and responsible AI.
  

• Currently pursuing a degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

• Familiarity with LLMs, NLP concepts, and prompt engineering.

• Experience with Python, and libraries like LangChain, OpenAI API, Hugging Face, or similar.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to cross-functional stakeholders.

• Interest in media, advertising, or content moderation is a plus.
  

• Hands-on experience working with production-level AI systems in the media and ad tech space.

• Exposure to real-world applications of generative AI in content categorization and moderation.

The anticipated compensation for this position is between $20 and $25 per hour.  This internship will go from June to August, 2025.
