Job Responsibilities:
To promote positive relationships between employees and leadership to a create an inclusive work environment and collaborative culture .
  • Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures, familiarity with FMLA
  • Understand and promote Magna's Core Values and Employee's Charter.
  • Participate and support the hourly and salary recruiting process. Develop strategies to meet departmental staffing requirements. Participate in the internal interview process.
  • Develop, implement, and participate in New Hire Orientation.
  • Support and encourage the Open Door Process. Work with employees to resolve issues and concerns
  • Attend meetings, including: start-up meetings, departmental meetings, and monthly meetings.
  • Conduct investigations as required, maintain high shop floor visibility within designated area and shifts.
  • Monitor progressive discipline. Ensure consistent application of the policies and documentation.
  • Oversee and maintain the Performance Review Process.
  • Process documentation for team status change (pay rate, shift change, position change, etc.)
  • Maintain monthly key performance indicators for Human Resources.
  • Assist in the development of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Process terminations and conduct exit interviews. Ensure employees are properly removed from all systems.
  • Participate and facilitate in company events.
  • Support the leadership development process. Coach and mentor Team Leaders, Supervisors and Department Managers.

Who we are looking for:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience required in an HR role in manufacturing environment
  • Must have the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
  • Working knowledge of employment law
  • BA Degree in Business/related field or enrolled in Human Resource Studies
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to meet all 3 shifts needs

EDUCATION/TECHNICAL TRAINING:
  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field , or enrolled in Human Resources studies.
  • Continuous education to enhance all applicable employment laws PHR Certification is preferred.

SKILLS:
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, open communication, and organizational skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrates an approachable and collaborative demeanor and fosters trust across teams.
  • Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and Workday.
