OUR STORY

Quince was started to challenge the existing idea that nice things should cost a lot. Our mission was simple: create an item of equal or greater quality than the leading luxury brands and sell them at a much lower price.

OUR VALUES

Customer First. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority.

High Quality. True quality is a combination of premium materials and high production standards that everyone can feel good about.

Essential design. We don’t chase trends, and we don’t sell everything.  We’re expert curators that find the very best and bring it to you at the lowest prices.

Always a better deal. Through innovation and real price transparency we want to offer the best deal to both our customers and our factory partners.

Environmentally and Socially conscious.  We’re committed to sustainable materials and sustainable production methods. That means a cleaner environment and fair wages for factory workers.

OUR TEAM AND SUCCESS

Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

Ideal Candidate:

Quince has pioneered a M2C logistics model that ships single parcel goods to consumer directly from the factory or near the factory.  We would like to launch a new business model that opens our logistics platform so that other companies can also use this model (“QLS or Quince Logistics Services”).  With Quince as the largest anchor customer of this service, we believe we can drive superior economic outcomes for other retailers that transform their supply chain as much as it has for Quince.  Quince will also benefit as increased scale on its network will help reduce prices, improve reliability and increase delivery speed. The GM of Quince Logistics Services will be responsible for developing and executing the business plan underlying Quince Logistics Services. The ideal candidate would be responsible for the operations, network design, technology, financials and sales of this new business as a full P&L owner.  You would join our ambition to drive superior speed and reliability for express international shipping at the lowest market cost.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive 3 day O2D (order to delivery) for 90% of our customers.
  • Sell, onboard and successfully retain customers for QLS
  • Oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Negotiate high-level contracts with carriers, third-party logistics providers, and suppliers to optimize cost and service levels.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership across departments to integrate logistics with company-wide strategies and initiatives.
  • Drive, manage and lead the adoption of cutting-edge logistics technology and systems to improve visibility, tracking, reporting and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade and shipping regulations, and maintain a strong understanding of global market dynamics.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve quality and delivery times.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional development.
  • Manage and report on key logistics performance indicators, providing insights and strategic recommendations to the executive team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 20 years of senior leadership experience in logistics or supply chain management within an e-commerce or global trade environment.
  • Proven track record of managing complex global logistics operations and delivering measurable improvements.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and strategic partnership skills. Proficiency in advanced logistics software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth, fast-paced e-commerce or tech-driven logistics company.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
