OUR STORY

Quince was started to challenge the existing idea that nice things should cost a lot. Our mission was simple: create an item of equal or greater quality than the leading luxury brands and sell them at a much lower price.

OUR VALUES

Customer First. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority.

High Quality. True quality is a combination of premium materials and high production standards that everyone can feel good about.

Essential design. We don’t chase trends, and we don’t sell everything.  We’re expert curators that find the very best and bring it to you at the lowest prices.

Always a better deal. Through innovation and real price transparency we want to offer the best deal to both our customers and our factory partners.

Environmentally and Socially conscious.  We’re committed to sustainable materials and sustainable production methods. That means a cleaner environment and fair wages for factory workers.

OUR TEAM AND SUCCESS

Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

About the Role
Quince is seeking high-performing, entrepreneurial General Managers to own and drive the growth of key product categories within our women's business. This is a cross-functional leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and is equally strategic and executional. GMs are responsible for hitting ambitious P&L targets, working in close partnership with teams across merchandising, sourcing, inventory planning, growth marketing, and logistics.

The ideal candidate is energized by complex challenges, uses data to make sound decisions quickly, and acts decisively without a playbook. They are relentlessly focused on results and are comfortable holding themselves and others to high standards on behalf of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and execute the strategic plan for your product categories, including top-line growth and contribution margin performance.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across merchandising, sourcing, marketing, inventory, and logistics to optimize category health and business outcomes.

  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks that inhibit category growth—personally diving into execution when necessary.

  • Analyze marketing funnel metrics to inform category-specific growth plans with strong return on ad spend (ROAS).

  • Monitor and report on category performance metrics weekly, with a data-first mindset and bias for action.

  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive benchmarks, and consumer behavior to identify new opportunities.

  • Develop and manage category-level budgets and resource allocation.

Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of end-to-end P&L ownership experience in a consumer product category (e.g., home, beauty, accessories, baby, etc.), with a revenue range between $25M–$150M annually.

  • 2+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a similarly analytical function.

  • Proven track record of cross-functional leadership in a retail or eCommerce environment.

  • Fluency in growth marketing levers and performance funnel metrics (e.g., CAC, ROAS, LTV).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently drive business outcomes.

  • Comfort operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and high-performance environment.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree.

  • Experience in a high-growth DTC or eCommerce company.

  • In-house experience working directly with marketing, rather than via agency partnerships.

  • Strong understanding of inventory planning, sourcing, and supply chain operations.

  • Ability to build and implement scalable processes from scratch.

We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. Bonus eligibility varies by role and is determined based on the position’s impact and contribution to our strategic goals.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
