Overview / Objective

The NFL Digital Media group is seeking a GameDay Operations Manager to support live NFL games and tentpole events. The GameDay Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and delivery of our digital products during NFL game days. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the fan experience through innovative digital solutions. Focused on Live Support leadership, the GameDay Operations Manager will oversee gameday staff scheduling, technical support, and quality assurance—ensuring consistency and quick responses when it matters most.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff scheduling and assignments for live gameday and tentpole event support
  • Coordinate all aspects of live game day operations for our digital platforms, ensuring smooth execution and minimal downtime
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during live events to quickly resolve issues and maintain high-quality standards
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks on digital products before, during, and after game days to ensure optimal performance and user experience
  • Train and prepare the team for gameday support, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle live operations efficiently
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, content, and marketing teams to align game day strategies and deliver cohesive digital experiences
  • Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to guarantee service level agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Responsible for publishing rules on how to access games on NFL digital platforms     
  • Manage a comprehensive incident response protocol and provide communication updates to senior leadership and business stakeholders      
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Product Operations leadership team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 5+ years proven experience in live operations management, preferably in a digital media or sports broadcasting environment
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in digital platforms, streaming technologies, and content management systems
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and evenings, to support live events and resolve operational issues as they arise
  • Passion for sports, particularly NFL football, and a deep understanding of fan engagement through digital platforms
  • Ability to understand and document business rules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Familiarity with the Media and Entertainment industry
  • Appreciation and/or love of football

Physical Demands

Travel

  • Occasional travel may be available as business needs arise – 15% travel may be required

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
  • Must be flexible to work weekends (specifically Sundays in-season and Holidays)
  • Must be able to work all NFL Game Days, including Pre-season, Regular Season, and Playoffs, in-office.
  • Must be able to work on holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Salary
$110,000$140,000 USD

This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location, and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
