ABOUT THE TEAM
Our team builds XR software used by IVAS that will make an impact in the real world. We augment situational awareness via Lattice as well as simulate scenarios to train and test users. Our users will depend on our software to improve their well being and safety in contested environments, as well as improve effectiveness in the field. This provides a developer the ability to create tangible impacts in revolutionizing the way humans perceive their operational environment. You will have an opportunity to have direct, and iterative access, to feedback for creating these impactful XR solutions.
Game Developers in this role will build the next generation of frontend software used by warfighters. This work includes core game engine development, user experiences, and third party integration challenges. The warfighter’s experience needs to be intuitive, simple, highly capable, and performant.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work closely with designers, systems engineers, and other game engineers to build the next generation of IVAS
- Further develop our in-house game engine
- Implement key UI and gameplay-like features to augment the warfighter
- Integrate lattice, sensors, and external peripherals into an XR application
- Ensure a very high bar of reliability and stability for released software
- Analyze and optimize both memory and performance for an in-house game engine
- Identify problems; solve them: implement robust, high-quality solutions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent C++ skills and software engineering principles
- Experience working in large codebases to solve complex problems.
- Minimum five years of professional programming experience
- Solid understanding of 3D math
- Ability to write clean, maintainable and extensible code with attention to reusability
- Experience in a broad range of engineering areas on shipping games or real time visualization systems, with special attention given to low-level code
- Excellent spoken and written communication
- US Person status (permanent resident or citizen) is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- TypeScript or related scripting experience
- OpenXR development experience
- Shipped at least one AAA game title in a similar role
- Be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
US Salary Range
$168,000—$252,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
