All positions are Work From Home role.

You Can
- Work autonomously to create realistic, directable simulations of any real world phenomena based on reference and brief
- Autonomously develop directable, subjective (“magical”) effects based on concept art or brief
- Improvise and work efficiently within the confines of available resources, show structure, and schedule as defined by Production Management
- Take on a leadership role within the department by setting the bar for quality, providing guidance, and being a role model
- Create well-organized tools, scripts, and set-ups to facilitate efficient or automated workflows that can be used by other members of the crew
- Multitask and work productively in a high-pressure environment
- Troubleshoot and solve problems proactively and resourcefully
- Take direction well and implement feedback with a positive attitude
- Interpret and transform abstract ideas into compelling effects
- Use VEX and/or Python with high level proficiency to script custom tools and workflows
- Collaborate effectively with fellow artists from other disciplines to meet challenging production deadlines
You Have
- An ambitious desire for self growth, ownership, and collaboration
- Expert level proficiency with Houdini
- Intermediate level proficiency with Nuke
- Advanced understanding of the mathematical and physical concepts related to Computer Graphics
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong aesthetic eye for effects performance as it relates to storytelling
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A solid work ethic and and a positive mindset
- A team player mentality with a ‘get it done’ solutions orientated attitude
- A minimum of five years of experience as an FX artist in a VFX Production environment
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- A diverse range of experience in live action FX work demonstrable in a professionally presented demo reel
