About the role


The Functional Analyst for the reliability maintenance toolset within the CEMS program will provide functional insight to the team for tool development within our program. This person will work with team and end users to gather requirements and help with development progress.


What you'll do


Provide functional analysis for USAF engine maintenance systems reliability model development and operations.  This role requires knowledge and understanding of Air Force maintenance for different engine types, propulsion needs, and quality assurance practices.  Requires expertise in engine maintenance requirements, parts and spares, and quality assessment. Have ability to assess the existing engine reliability models and generate recommendations for model updates. Develop reports as needed working with technical team to present to customers. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide functional insight to design and develop Air Force systems engine maintenance analytics for work scope optimization, deployment readiness, triage optimization, reliability and readiness monitoring
  • Develop insights from available data that can be used by engine maintainers to make data driven decisions
  • Collaborate across functional user team, gain trust; Develop outlines and communicate complex engine maintenance concepts between the end users and the development team to successfully transform concepts to outcomes
  • Drive functional innovation for reliable engine maintenance, evaluate emerging technologies, with focus on operational refinement.
  • Create case studies to develop user stories to document requirements and real-world scenarios based on operational analysis of engine reliability and cost features.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing as the Functional Analyst

Qualifications

  • US Citizen with 10+ years of experience with USAF aircraft and engine maintenance, specific knowledge of engine parts
  • Know the differences between maintenance requirements for multiple different USAF engines
  • J85 Engine maintenance knowledge
  • Experience with Engine Deployment readiness, Supply chain management
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a government clearance.
  • Describe the experience and attributes of the ideal candidate
