We are transforming healthcare to be value-driven, creating a seamless, consumer-centric care experience that maximizes value for all.

We believe that all health consumers are entitled to high quality, coordinated healthcare. We uniquely align the interests of health consumers, providers, and payors to make high-quality healthcare accessible and affordable to all populations across the ACA Marketplace, Medicare, and Medicaid.

NeueHealth is seeking a talented and versatile Full Stack UX/Product Designer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our value based care digital experiences. In this dual role, you will be responsible for both the user-centered design and the product management of key features, driving them from initial concept through to successful implementation.

As a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment where you'll have the autonomy to manage your own tasks and contribute significantly to our product vision. You will work closely with engineering, stakeholders, and other team members to deliver exceptional user experiences and achieve product goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Web App Design:
    • Lead the design process from initial concept exploration to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes using Figma.
    • Translate high-level direction and user needs into clear wireframes, user flows, and clickable prototypes.
    • Effectively solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to iterate on designs.
    • Maintain and evolve design systems and UI guidelines in partnership with other members of the team.
  • Product Management:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and user needs.
    • Define and manage product features and their corresponding roadmaps.
    • Create clear and concise user stories and technical tickets for the engineering team.
    • Partner closely with engineers throughout the development lifecycle to ensure successful execution and address any roadblocks.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on project status, timelines, and potential risks.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or a closely related field.
  • Proven expertise in using Figma for design and prototyping.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, from concept to final execution, including wireframes and prototypes.
  • Experience in product management principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate user needs and business goals into effective product solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and taking initiative to drive projects forward.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in an agile development process.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with MUI or similar component libraries
  • Experience designing digital clinical tools

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
