What we're looking for

We are looking for a full-time Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is excited about impacting the technical direction of the company. This is an ideal fit if you are looking for a role where you can make an immediate impact at a mission-driven startup. We are a small team that builds and creates to make the world materially better for older adults.

You will be working with an interdisciplinary, fast-paced team with expertise in: technology, data, healthcare, and fitness.

We seek out individuals who are skilled at working creatively, collaboratively, and confidently.

Key Responsibilities

Our current stack is built on technologies including: React, React Native, Node, Python, and Postgres and our server infrastructure is running on Kubernetes in AWS.

  1. Build user-facing features and interfaces that empower patients, physicians, and care teams.
  2. Collaborate with data scientists to productionize ML models that personalize care and guide interventions.
  3. Integrate with healthcare software and physician workflows (e.g., EHRs, scheduling, clinical messaging).
  4. Develop data infrastructure to demonstrate clinical value and support research-grade analytics.
  5. Deploy, monitor, and maintain components in a HIPAA-compliant AWS environment.
  6. Partner with product and clinical teams to rapidly prototype, test, and launch new features.
Compensation:

We’re committed to an inclusive, consistent, and equitable approach to compensation and anticipate that this position will earn between $120k-160k annually. The exact salary will depend on the amount of relevant and transferable experience you bring to the role. You will also receive meaningful equity in the form of a stock option grant. 

About You:
  • Is a doer and self-starter. Engineers who enjoy and have experience building products from the ground up to scaling, and can help set and manage their goals
  • Cares about our older adult members. We want everyone on our team to learn from our users’ challenges and needs, and use that to tailor our product and development roadmap
  • Has 3+ years of experience building modern web applications on cloud infrastructure, and in particular have expertise with Javascript (ES6+) and React
  • Proficient in React and at least one backend language (JavaScript (ES6+), Python preferred).
  • Will have comfort across the whole engineering stack, and can communicate technical decisions across the organization
  • Bonus points if experienced with HIPAA or working with healthcare data
