What you will do:

  • Use Agile software methodology to plan, build, test, and deploy product features/functionality 
  • Ensure all requirements are met for software solutions in appropriate environments
  • Collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team of software developers, quality assurance engineers, designers, product managers, and DevOps engineers
  • Conduct data modeling, support data architecture decisions, and create queries for relational and transactional databases
  • Implement unit tests, functional & non-functional tests, and integration tests along with software development
  • Monitor and continuously improve code to meet software development standards set by the team.
  • Implement API and connectivity solutions across digital products
  • Coordinating with stake holders to gather user requirements and design UI solutions for complex processes
  • Apply critical thinking techniques, using logic and reasoning to identify approaches to problems, and the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires Technical Bachelor Degree with Five (5) years of relevant experience in Web development / Computer Programming / Software Engineering
  • Three (3) years of experience in UI Development with Angular/React/Vue
  • Three (3) years of experience in Back-end Development with C#/Java/SQL
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proficiency in C# (.NET Core 3.1 or higher)
  • Proficiency in SQL Server
  • Experience with Azure Pipelines
  • Experience using Angular, Tailwind, or AG Grid
  • Experience using Typescript
  • Experience in UI/UX and web design
  • Experience in designing and creating RESTful APIs
  • Experience using Entity Framework Core (EF Core), or Dapper
  • Experience with database transactions and migrations
  • Experience with TDD, BDD and working understanding of SOLID principles
  • Experience in source code version control
  • Experience with microservice-based architecture
  • Familiarity in Azure/AWS Cloud environment
  • Ability to use active listening to interact effectively at all levels within the company.
  • Ability to communicate technical plans and challenges to both technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the team
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical tradeoffs and make timely decisions to ensure the solution meets critical functional and business needs.
  • Experience in writing technical documents and communicating effectively with product stake holders.
  • Self-starter with ability to find answers and creative solutions in scenarios of technical ambiguity.
  • Familiarity with industry standard cyber security requirement

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
