About Us
Laudable lets B2B companies turn one happy customer into three new customers. With our SaaS platform and services, we automagically find happy customers, bottle what they're saying, and enable go-to-market teams to use that content to grow.
We're backed by Y Combinator, Greycroft, Craft Ventures, a collection of tech founders and CEOs… and recurring revenue (growing 18% every month) from real paying customers.
We’re a remote team committed to growth, winning, self-reflection, and having fun. We're looking for kind, ambitious, bright, and resourceful humans to join us.

We want you to know
You can be a great candidate even if you don't fit everything we describe below. You can also have important skills we haven't thought of. If that's you, please apply and tell us about yourself.
We're committed to diversity and building an equitable and inclusive work home for people of all backgrounds and experience. We especially encourage members of traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, including women, people of color, LGBTQ+ people, veterans, and people with disabilities.

Working at Laudable
If you join Laudable, you can expect to join a team that believes in:
  • Trust. Our product is evolving quickly and there’s tons of opportunity to create new things nearly every day. We believe in giving our team autonomy to find solutions to problems—technical, architectural, or UX-related—themselves rather than always being directed by a lead or Product Manager.
  • Embracing a “shitty first draft” mindset. Quality and customer delight are both incredibly important, but it’s often even more important to ship something quickly to validate our ideas and iterate using live customer input. We ship frequently and ambitiously, and lean heavily into dogfooding solutions ourselves using draft versions of functionality before polishing for release to our customers to achieve via self-service in our product.
  • Challenging conventions. “It’s always been that way” is not a good reason to do something. We apply that thinking not only when considering a new technology or process, but also to our own decisions. Sometimes decisions we make don’t work out - we have no problem admitting when we were wrong, asking for and filtering advice from smart people, and charting a new path forward if and when we find a better way.
  • Having fun. Creating products people love is fun. Also fun? Facing and overcoming challenges, and building something from nothing. We want our work environment to reflect this. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, and we build fun and humor into our day-to-day.
Read more about our values and operating principles here.

The Role
As a full-stack engineer you’ll be responsible for helping us add new features and improve our existing products across the entire stack. Some challenges you may work on during a typical day at Laudable as an engineer include:
  • Extending functionality and adding features to a containerized Go application.
  • Implement an asynchronous data pipeline using event queues.
  • Identify and compare outside solutions to custom-built solutions to solve new product or customer challenges.
  • Design and build a new UI in our end user-facing NextJS application.
Our current stack is built on NextJS, React, Tailwind, TypeScript, Go, Google Cloud, Postgres, and Elasticsearch. We also have a limited Python footprint (for ML/NLP-related jobs) and also continue to experiment with new technologies to add to our stack as our product and its needs continue to grow. Prior experience with our stack is definitely a plus but not a requirement!
Note: We’re open to candidates within a range of experience levels - from mid-level all the way up to a very senior (Staff- or Principal-level) engineer.

Our Interview Process
Our interview process is designed to mimic (as closely as we can) the work you’ll actually be doing on a day-by-day basis, and to be as efficient as we can make it while still giving both you and us a chance to evaluate whether Laudable is a place that you’ll thrive.
We’ll lay out the entire process in our first call so you know what to expect, and we offer either a take-home or in-person option for our coding exercise. Throughout the process, you’ll be guided through the process by the hiring manager or another contact in engineering directly, and we’ll give you as much up-front information about what to expect as we can (we want you to be successful!).

Benefits
  • Fully remote team
  • Competitive salary and equity
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Flexible "take what you need" PTO (that we expect you to actually take!)
  • An up-to-date laptop and budget for equipment you need to set up your home office

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
