Why Clipboard Exists:

We exist to lift as many people up the socioeconomic ladder as possible. We dramatically improve lives by letting professionals turn extra time and ambition into career growth and financial opportunity. We achieve this with our app-based marketplace that connects workplaces and professionals, allowing professionals to book on-demand shifts and workplaces to access on-demand talent.

About Clipboard:

Clipboard is a fast-growing Series C marketplace. We are a leader in our Long Term Care vertical and are expanding into several others (Dental Offices, Schools, etc).
We are a YC Top Company with a global, remote team of 700+ people. We have been profitable since 2022, and fill millions of shifts annually at partner workplaces across the US, where tens of thousands of professionals work with us every year.
We are looking for your help to keep growing so we can serve more professionals and workplaces.

About This Opportunity:

Clipboard is building out a centralized recruiting function and looking for a talented Full Cycle Recruiter to help us identify, attract, and hire exceptional talent across our organization. This is a unique opportunity to reshape our talent acquisition strategy from the ground up at a time where we’re actively investing time and resources to build a world-class recruiting function that can scale with our ambitious growth plans.

This is a true full-cycle role, with the opportunity to support roles across the business (not just staying siloed into one department). We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable going on a sourcing sprint for an urgent role, building a new dashboard to track metrics for a hiring team, spotting and solving problems in our funnels and keeping track of a new interviewer we just trained to make sure they’re doing well.

What You'll Do:

Sourcing & Talent Identification

  • Find great candidates – especially ones who may not be actively job searching

  • Test out creative sourcing strategies and figure out (quickly) if they’re really working or not

  • Help us get better at identifying the right people for our roles much earlier in the process

Recruiting Operations & Metrics

  • Effectively guide candidates through each phase of our hiring process with clear expectations and timely updates.

  • Track and report weekly recruiting metrics to hiring teams and leadership

  • Identify what may be broken in our hiring funnels and suggest and implement fixes to make hiring more effective.

Build Strong Partnerships with Hiring Managers

  • Work with hiring managers to understand what they really need in candidates

  • Lead the charge on our inbound strategies setting up job posts and developing effective screening processes

  • Continuously improve our hiring through learnings from interviews, analytics and candidate feedback

What You Bring:

Required Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience, with at least 2-3 years specifically in recruiting

  • Proven track record working in startup environments (Series A/B/C preferred)

  • Full-cycle recruiting experience from sourcing through offer.

What Sets You Apart

  • You have strong sourcing abilities and can find creative ways to get to candidates who aren't looking for jobs

  • You are comfortable with numbers and recruiting data

  • You love finding and solving problems

  • You excel at working with hiring managers and understanding what they need

  • You are curious about how the business works and what our culture is really like

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments where things change quickly

Why Join Us:

Growth & Impact

  • Opportunity to build and scale a recruiting function from the ground up

  • Lots of opportunities for advancement, both within the Recruiting function and the company at large

  • Direct impact on company growth and success in a high-potential market

Company Strength

  • Join a profitable company with strong cash flow and financial stability

  • Work with exceptionally smart people who have a clear vision for success

  • Be part of a company with massive market opportunity and unlimited upside potential

Work Environment

  • For candidates in the SF Bay area, a hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week in our SF office; for all other candidates, a remote opportunity with possible travel for recruiting events or company on-sites (1-2 times per year)

  • For remote candidates, a fully remote env

  • Collaborative culture with strong values and clear expectations

Comp and Benefits:
  • $70,000-$160,000 base salary range (based on experience and location), with future opportunity for variable comp opportunity based on successful hires.

  • Insurance benefits + 401k options

  • Unlimited PTO and flexible holidays

Interview Process:
  • Application and introductory exercise

    • This exercise is fictional (not a real role) but will be used in the next round to support a live pitch call stimulation. Please don't spend more than ~30 minutes max on this intro exercise!

  • Live interview with the hiring manager (stimulated pitch call + Q&A)

  • Technical Round

    • Live sourcing session with the hiring manager

    • Mock intake call with a hiring stakeholder

  • (Possible) Peer Interview with another recruiter on the team

  • Executive Review

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
