Front of House Supervisor — Paicines Ranch Hospitality
Paicines, CA

Lead the floor. Shape the experience. Build something real.

Paicines Ranch is a 7,500-acre certified organic ranch and regenerative vineyard near Hollister, CA — and our Hospitality team welcomes guests with farm-fresh meals, comfortable lodging, and unforgettable events in one of California's most beautiful working landscapes.

We're looking for an experienced FOH Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team through daily service and on-site events, from setup to last call to breakdown. If you love mentoring people, building systems that actually work, and being the steady hand guests and staff can count on — this is your role.

What you'll do:

  • Supervise and coach the FOH team, leading by example on the floor
  • Run event setup, service, and breakdown from start to finish
  • Oversee bar operations — inventory, compliance, cash handling, and supporting bartenders during service
  • Build schedules, manage clock-ins/breaks, and keep labor compliant
  • Create and maintain SOPs that make training and consistency easier for everyone
  • Step in wherever you're needed to keep service smooth and guests happy

What you bring:

  • 4+ years of supervisory/management experience in hospitality
  • A natural ability to lead, train, and bring cohesion to the team
  • Comfort with POS systems (Square a plus) and basic scheduling tools
  • California Food Handler/Manager cert and RBS certification
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Why Paicines Ranch:
You'll be part of a small, mission-driven team doing meaningful work — regenerative agriculture, thoughtful hospitality, and a genuine sense of place. No corporate playbook here, just good food, good land, and good people.

Qualifications

What You Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or management degree preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
