About the roleAs our Software Engineer - BrickLink Catalog, you'll help modernise the LEGO® BrickLink Catalog platform and deliver new capabilities that support its integration into the broader digital ecosystem. You'll focus on frontend engineering using React and Next.js, working within a distributed agile team to re-architect key platform capabilities, develop new features, and build reusable components. This is an opportunity to shape a scalable catalog experience used by a highly engaged global community while influencing the future technical direction of the platform.
Required QualificationsDelivered production-scale applications using React and Next.js
Built solutions with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
Implemented frontend testing practices using tools such as Vitest or Playwright
Created component-driven architectures and reusable frontend systems
Owned complex frontend solutions from design through delivery
Contributed to agile delivery practices through code reviews and iterative development
Developed shared component libraries using Storybook
Implemented content-driven experiences using Contentstack CMS
Used Nx development tooling within large-scale applications
Modern frontend experiences that support the future of the BrickLink Catalog platform
Scalable frontend architectures that balance performance, accessibility, and maintainability
Reusable component libraries that can be shared across multiple teams
New catalog capabilities that support continued platform growth and integration
Improvements that increase application performance and user experience quality
Engineering practices that strengthen collaboration, code quality, and maintainability

Life on the teamYou'll join Creator & AFOL Technology within Digital Technology at the LEGO Group. The team supports BrickLink's growth, scalability, and integration while creating technology for a passionate community of builders, collectors, and sellers. We work in a distributed environment with a hybrid rhythm, staying connected through planning, refinement, estimation, and code review activities. Strong problem solving, clear communication, collaboration, customer-focused thinking, and an awareness of user experience all help the team succeed.
What success looks likeSuccess means helping replatform critical catalog capabilities while establishing scalable frontend patterns that can support future growth. You'll work closely with the Lead Engineer, frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and product team members as the platform continues its modernisation journey. Over time, you'll contribute to increased component reuse, stronger frontend standards, new catalog capabilities, and deeper integration across the LEGO Group digital ecosystem.
