Our responsibilities include on-air branding, brand development, implementation and maintenance, set design, graphic design edit support, information graphic systems, graphic software development, real-time graphics via gaming engines (Unreal engine), Viz-RT, Ventuz, and proprietary systems, and graphic production management with offices in Los Angeles and Charlotte, North Carolina.
FOX Sports Creative Services is seeking a Freelance Graphics Help Desk Operator in our Los Angeles offices. The Help Desk role provides technical support and distributes graphic elements to FS1 and FOX Sports broadcasts. This position reports to the Executive Director of Graphics Technologies in the Creative Services Group.
This position will be filled as an IATSE Union representative.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the real-time graphics used for studio and remote broadcasts, including troubleshooting technical issues with hardware, control software, and associated stats applications
- Configure, test, and ship graphics computer equipment
- Work with producers and coordinators to fulfill graphics orders and deliver assets to remote and studio broadcasts
- Assist in QC of graphics packages
- Build templates for on-air graphics
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Strong technical aptitude along with a comprehensive knowledge of Windows/PC operating systems and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, calm, patient demeanor to provide support in high-pressure situations via phone, email, and Slack
- Proactive self-starter, willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Able to multitask and utilize downtime productively
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Familiarity with major sports, including NFL, MLB, college football and hoops, soccer, and auto racing
