JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is looking for a Freelance Digital/Social Designer during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Freelance Digital/Social Designer will support World Cup coverage by designing high-quality digital and social visuals that translate matches, moments, and storylines into clear, compelling content across platforms. The role focuses on speed, accuracy, and brand consistency during live events and planned coverage.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and produce social-first editorial graphics, key art, backgrounds, and motion-ready assets in support of World Cup coverage.
  • Partner with editors, producers, and social teams to visually translate matches, storylines, stats, and narratives into on-brand executions.
  • Execute within established brand systems while adapting quickly to breaking news and live-event needs.
  • Deliver rapid-turnaround visuals for match days, studio shows, and high-traffic moments.
  • Maintain visual quality, accuracy, and consistency under tight deadlines
  • Eager to use cutting-edge AI technology to create visual storytelling through static and motion
     

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Strong understanding of social platform formats and digital editorial workflows
  • Strong taste and instincts for what works on digital
  • Strong eye for design and compelling visuals
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and/or Adobe After Effects
  • Familiarity with AI design tools within Adobe Suite as well as 3rd party platforms (ex, Nano Banana, ChatGPT, etc)
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and what performs well on each
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality or editorial judgment
  • Comfortable taking direction, feedback, and adjusting on the fly
  • Thrives in fast-paced, live-event environments
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable with real-time decision-making
  • Passionate about soccer and global sports culture

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $32.21-35.00 per hour.
