JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is looking for a Freelance Digital Content Specialist to support real-time social coverage of the FIFA World Cup. The Freelance Digital Content Specialist will work closely with our video, design, and social teams to create high-quality, fast-turnaround static and video content across FOX Sports social platforms during one of the biggest global sporting events in the world.

This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role built for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, has strong social media instincts, and is comfortable working nontraditional hours.

Hours will vary significantly due to the FIFA World Cup schedule

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support production of Fox Soccer social and digital content, including highlights, reactions, storylines, and talent-driven moments
  • Support live event social coverage, including real-time publishing, moment identification, and cultural conversation monitoring
  • Clip, edit, and optimize short-form video content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and Facebook
  • Create and update graphics, thumbnails, and visual templates for use across FOX Sports social accounts
  • Collaborate with producers, editors, and social leads to maintain consistent FOX Sports storytelling across platforms
  • Utilize analytics and performance insights to inform future content decisions and platform strategy
  • Coordinate content across platforms and teams to ensure alignment and a strong cross-platform presence

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 1+ years of experience in digital content creation, social publishing, or video editing (internship or freelance experience acceptable)
  • High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere
  • Strong understanding of what performs well on social platforms, especially TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and X
  • Working knowledge of soccer storylines, players, teams, and fan culture
  • Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles 5 days per week, and work nights and weekends
  • Flexibility and reliability

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $23.56-32.69 per hour.
