This Freelance Designer is responsible for creating visually compelling, brand-aligned presentation decks that communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. This role plays a critical execution and creative support function by transforming content, strategy, and messaging into engaging presentation experiences for pitches, client meetings, conferences, workshops, and internal communications. Within the agency, this position collaborates closely with strategists, account teams, designers, and copywriters to bring presentation narratives to life.

Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Design and format high-quality PowerPoint presentations for client and internal use.
  • Translate existing brand guidelines, creative direction, and messaging into visually engaging slide designs.
  • Create presentation templates, custom layouts, infographics, charts, and visual assets to support storytelling.
  • Ensure consistency in typography, imagery, spacing, and visual hierarchy across all presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to refine content flow, simplify complex information, and improve presentation clarity.
  • Edit and revise decks based on stakeholder and client feedback while maintaining tight turnaround times.
  • Optimize presentations for live presentation, virtual delivery, and sharing across platforms.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure presentations are error-free, aligned to brand standards, and presentation-ready.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience designing professional presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing presentation design, visual storytelling, and information design.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, including master slides, templates, animations, charts, and layout design.
  • Strong understanding of typography, composition, color, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging visuals.
  • Experience working within established brand systems and style guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and efficiently under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, biotech, or other regulated industries is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

As required by law in this state, the estimated hourly range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00 USD and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At CG Life, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the plan. CG Life offers a variety of benefits, including health benefits, 401K retirement with a generous company match and immediate vesting, and flexible time off.
