About your role

We are looking to expand our network of Legal Pros across the nation to provide legal information under the Rocket Lawyer brand to individuals as well as small and midsize businesses. 

This is a remote, independent contractor position, meaning you will not be an employee of Rocket Lawyer. Our technology platform connects you with customers who bring a diverse range of legal issues to Rocket Lawyer, and we connect them with qualified Legal Pros so that they can proceed with confidence. We are committed to offering quality service at affordable rates. We take care of customer acquisition and back-office functions so that you can focus on what you do best—helping people resolve their issues and navigate the complexities of business. Onboarding is simple, and we can connect you with potential customers immediately.

How you will make a difference day to day 

  • Work remotely with customers sent directly to you, allowing you to collaborate with them at times that work best for both parties. 
  • Provide legal information to customers via brief, written responses using our Ask a Legal Pro service. 
  • Connect with customers by phone for scheduled 20-minute live consults 
  • You have a customer-first mentality and a dedication to going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction and success.

What you’ll need

  • At least 1 year of practical experience in advising individuals and businesses in your area of expertise. We welcome applicants with various levels of experience.
  • An active license in at least 1 US state where you are in good standing with your local state bar and no previous public disciplinary action.
  • Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn and use our tools to enhance the customer experience.
  • You possess strong verbal communication skills for effective customer consultations via phone and/or video conference. 

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Corporate law 
  • Contracts & Business Transactions 
  • Real Estate Law 
  • Family Law
  • Finance 
  • Estate Planning, Wills & Trusts
