As a Franchise Developer at Neighborly, a typical day for you will include:

  • Generate leads and build comprehensive lists of prospective franchise owners.
  • Evaluate candidate suitability and provide informative consultations to guide them through the selection process, including financial qualification.
  • Effectively communicate the advantages and benefits of owning a Neighborly® franchise, highlighting key selling points.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to host informative recruiting meetings for potential franchise owners.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of advertising and trade show strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Provide accurate quotes and credit term information, and assist in preparing franchise contracts and agreements.
  • Champion the application process, presenting potential franchisees to the Review and Selection Committee and communicating their decisions in a timely manner.
  • Secure approved contracts and ensure their timely delivery to new franchisees.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance, Accounting, and Legal departments to collect funds and process all necessary documentation.
  • Take on additional assignments as needed.
  • Attend assigned trade shows to network with and present opportunities to potential franchise owners.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing for clear and informative interactions with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in phone communication, ensuring a professional and engaging experience for potential franchisees.
  • Thrives in a sales environment, demonstrating an outgoing personality, a positive attitude, and strong self-confidence.
  • Exhibits a balanced approach to problem-solving, possesses resilience, and effectively manages rejection.
  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively, ensuring their successful completion.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to following established systems and procedures.
  • Adaptable work schedule with availability for evenings, Saturdays, and early mornings as required.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Five (5) or more years related experience in sales and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
