This is a 100% remote position.

What you'll do:

  • Partner closely with the sales team, evaluating and assisting in sales strategies and providing solution recommendations.
  • Leverage your in-depth understanding of competitive products and technologies to position Datarails effectively in sales presentations.
  • Assist in the development of proposals and responses to RFI and RFP documents.

What we need/Requirements:

  • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, FP&A, or relevant sales engineering roles in the finance industry.
  • Strong grasp of financial applications, including budgeting, planning, forecasting, month-end close, financial reporting, and consolidation platforms + intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to gather and understand potential customers' requirements, using a consultative approach to effectively demonstrate how Datarails meets their needs.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and clearly.
  • Strong business acumen, collaborative skill set, and a team-oriented everyone-wins attitude.
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes across multiple industries such as manufacturing, services, banking, insurance, etc., a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business/Finance, a plus.

What we offer:

  • The target OTE for this role is $140-190k USD (base salary ~110-140k). Multiple factors, including prior experience, skill set, and location, determine final offer amounts.
  • Parental leave
  • Meaningful equity
  • 401(k) plan with up to 4% match
  • Top-of-the-line healthcare (medical, vision, and dental), with 100% paid coverage for employees + generous coverage for dependents
  • Flexible PTO + 12 paid company holidays
  • Life insurance
  • And more!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
