About the role 

Roku is looking for a skilled FP&A Manager to join the Platform Engineering Finance team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, FP&A, this role will play a critical role in providing management with an assessment of historical and forward-looking financial performance, including analysis of risks and opportunities, and communication of business insights.  This role will play a key role in supporting and advising the Platform Engineering and Legal teams. Critical to success in this role is the ability to balance competing priorities, navigate a fluid and ambiguous environment, and drive projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, advanced modeling abilities, and superior attention to detail.  

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $175,000 and $189,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off. 


What you’ll be doing
  • Monitor key performance indicators, highlight trends and analyze causes of changes
  • Proactively conducts deep dives and drives operational improvements 
  • Partner with business to oversee operational expenses and headcount investments 
  • Work closely with executive management on ad hoc projects to provide in-depth business case analysis and to drive intelligent decision making 
  • Support recurring and ad-hoc FP&A deliverables, managing monthly close, forecast, and reporting 

 

We’re excited if you have  
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject (finance, economics, mathematics) 
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate finance or in providing strategic business support to engineering teams, with a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration 
  • Background in tech and/or media industries preferred 
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining complex financial models; expert level proficiency with Excel 
  • Talent for synthesizing complex ideas and communicating them in ways others can easily understand; ability to clearly and concisely present issues, ideas and recommendations in verbal, written and presentation formats to senior executives 
  • Ability to navigate a complex & matrixed corporate environment while juggling multiple responsibilities
  • A positive, can-do attitude & collaborative mindset is essential 
  • Equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and work at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team. No job is too small 
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized 
  • Curious; a constant learner with a relentless drive to acquire knowledge and new skill sets
