Overview

The Financial Planning Analyst will play a critical role in delivering financial insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role will develop financial models, perform in-depth financial analysis, prepare variance reporting, and support forecasting and budgeting processes. As part of the Corporate Finance team, the FP&A Analyst will collaborate closely with business leaders to guide financial planning, evaluate scenarios, and enhance financial decision-making within a large financial services organization.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Develop management reports highlighting financial performance against key metrics.
  • Analyze trends and variances in financial and operational results, providing actionable insights.
  • Reconcile financial accounts and ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

Forecasting & Budgeting

  • Develop and maintain complex financial forecasting and budgeting models.
  • Monitor actual performance versus budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support annual budgeting cycles and ongoing forecast updates.

Business Partnering & Strategic Support

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand business needs and provide financial insights.
  • Provide ongoing financial consulting, including ad hoc modeling, profitability analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to support enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic objectives.

Scenario Modeling & Decision Support

  • Conduct scenario and “what-if” analyses to evaluate the financial impact of strategic decisions.
  • Perform ROI and investment analysis to support key initiatives and long-term planning.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior management and non-financial stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Analytics

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Implement best practices to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Leverage financial systems, analytics, and visualization tools to enhance insights and reporting.

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates are required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a 12+ month consulting engagement with an expected annual salary of $120,000-$140,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
