About the role:

Render is looking to hire a founding Product Marketing Director, reporting to the VP of Marketing. We have a product developers love, evident in our organic, product-led growth to more than 2.5 million developers on the platform, and significant self-serve revenue. This is a rare opportunity to start a function from the ground up with a company that already has proven market momentum in a dynamic growing space. Your impact here will be profound.

You will:

  • Work directly with our executive team to shape GTM at Render

  • Drive product marketing from strategy to execution, including major launches, GTM enablement, and always in service to Render's long-term vision.

  • Drive new product launches - GTM strategy, product messaging/positioning, sales enablement, campaign assets, AR and PR

  • Develop company positioning and messaging informed by user and competitive research. Craft concise and compelling value propositions and differentiation that resonate with developer audiences.

  • Work with GTM teams to create content and cohesive messages for developers across all of the various touchpoints.

  • Keep a pulse on the competitive landscape. Continuously differentiate and improve messaging. Drive creation of competitive briefs, web pages, and battle sheets

  • Be the voice of the customer. Understand Render's customers' unique needs, pain points, and aspirations—champion customer-centricity throughout the organization, influencing strategy with insights and pulse of the customer and the market.

  • Manage our customer stories and showcase the impact that Render has for its customers

 

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 7+ years of B2B product marketing experience for technical SaaS products.

  • Proven experience influencing executive and strategic stakeholders.

  • Full stack Product Marketing expertise across the product launch lifecycle.

  • Knowledge of product-led growth (PLG) and product-led sales (PLS).

  • Experience creating compelling external-facing content assets for technical audiences.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling messaging.

  • Stellar communication and presentation skills.

  • Creative, “can do” attitude. 

  • Intellectual curiosity and first principles thinking and problem-solving.

 

Nice-to-haves:

  • Data-driven approach to your work, customer research and other internal, external oriented insights.

  • 3+ years experience working in a small to mid-sized startup.

  • Deep understanding, advocacy, and empathy of the developer audience and their processes, tools, platforms, and jobs to be done.

  • Our openings span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $210,000 and $285,000 USD. The provided salary depends on many factors, such as work experience and transferable skills, business needs and impact, and market demands.

  • The opportunity is also eligible for equity with early exercise options and extended exercise windows.
