Build and scale an AI Visibility Dashboard and analytics platform, track brand performance across major AI apps, create automated content generation and schema markup tooling, ship production features quickly, and work directly with customers to solve enterprise commerce problems.

Superpilot is AI agent for marketers. We help some of the biggest brands in the world accelerate their commerce marketing workflows, get discovered by AI Apps like ChatGPT & Gemini, and deliver superior shopper experiences.

The Role

We're looking for a Founding Engineer to help build our core product from the ground up. You'll work directly with leadership to ship features that enterprise commerce brands rely on daily. This is a high-ownership role where your technical decisions will shape our architecture for years to come.

Why Superpilot?

Marketing is in the middle of an actual platform shift. Agentic AI products are going to augment a generation of marketing tools, and the design patterns for those products are still being created. This is a small window to do the foundational design work for one of the products that defines the category.

What You'll Do
  • Build and scale the Superpilot apps and agents

  • Develop systems that track brand performance across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini

  • Create automated content generation pipelines and schema markup tooling

  • Ship production features quickly while maintaining code quality

  • Collaborate directly with customers to understand their problems and build solutions

What We're Looking For

JavaScript expertise - You've built production applications in Node.js and modern frontend frameworks. You understand async patterns, can debug complex systems, and write code that other engineers enjoy working with.

AI/ML fluency - You've worked with LLMs beyond just API calls. Ideally you understand prompt engineering, RAG architectures, or have built AI-powered features. Bonus if you've thought about how AI search engines consume and cite content.

Full-stack instincts - You're comfortable moving between frontend, backend, and infrastructure. You don't need permission to fix something that's broken.

Startup pace - You've shipped in environments where speed matters. You know when to build it right and when to build it now.

Commerce or SEO background - Not required, but helpful. If you've worked on e-commerce platforms, marketing tech, or search optimization, you'll ramp faster.

Why Join Now
  • Early equity in a company positioned at a major inflection point in how commerce works

  • Direct impact on product direction and technical architecture

  • Hard problems at the intersection of AI, search, and commerce

  • Small team where your work ships to real customers immediately

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
