Clueso is the agentic video creation platform for every team. Marketing, customer education, L&D, sales enablement, product and IT teams use Clueso to create, edit, localize and maintain their videos 10x faster.

1000+ fast-growing startups and large enterprises already use Clueso, including Atlassian, Zendesk, GitLab, Samsara, Seismic, Gainsight, Smartsheet and Nielsen. We're rated 4.9/5 on G2 and have bagged the Product of the month award twice on Product Hunt.

About the role

We’re hiring our first two Account Executives in the US. Until now, our co-founder, Neel Balar, has closed most of Clueso’s deals. As a Founding AE, you’ll own the full sales cycle, from building pipeline to signing the contract, and help write the playbook for the sales team that comes after you.

You’ll get inbound leads and high-intent PLG signups, but we expect a large share of your pipeline, roughly 50%+, to come from your own outbound. If you already have relationships with product marketing, enablement or L&D leaders, you’ll be able to use them from day one.

What you’ll do
  • Build your own pipeline: Prospect and run outbound across email, LinkedIn, calls and events to book your own meetings, alongside the inbound and PLG demand we already have.

  • Run the full cycle: Discovery, demos, trials, multi-threading across stakeholders, pricing, procurement, security review and close.

  • Land and expand: Turn self-serve teams already using Clueso into enterprise contracts, and grow accounts from one team to many.

  • Own your number: Forecast accurately and consistently hit quota.

  • Keep the CRM clean: Log every deal, contact, next step and close date in HubSpot as it happens, so the pipeline is always accurate and the forecast can be trusted.

  • Build the playbook: Work with the founders and growth team to sharpen our ICP, messaging, sequences and sales process, and help hire and onboard the AEs and SDRs who come next.

  • Be the voice of the customer: Bring what you hear in deals back to product and marketing.

The deals
  • Deal size: Typical ACV of $20K-50K+.

  • Sales cycle: From a few weeks to a few months, depending on deal size and company.

  • Buyers: Heads and Directors of Product Marketing, Customer Education/Training, L&D, Sales Enablement, PM and Change Management leaders, at mid-market and enterprise companies.

What we’re looking for
  • 3+ years in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 1 year as a closing AE.

  • A track record of consistently hitting or beating quota. Bring the numbers.

  • Proof you’ve built your own pipeline: a meaningful share of your past closed deals came from your own outbound.

  • Experience closing $20-100K ACV deals with mid-market and enterprise organizations

  • Experience selling to at least one of our core buyers: product marketing, enablement, IT, customer education/training or L&D. You know how they buy, what they’re measured on and who signs.

  • Experience in a sales team that was still being built, where you did well. You’d rather write the playbook than follow one.

Nice to have
  • You’ve sold video, digital adoption or enablement software.

  • You’ve sold an AI product with a PLG motion running alongside sales.

  • You started as an SDR/BDR and booked a lot of your own meetings before moving to closing.

  • You’ve been an early or founding sales hire before.

Why join Clueso?
  • Be a founding AE: You’ll be one of our first few sales hires, working directly with the founders to scale Clueso’s enterprise motion.

  • Real ownership: Your pipeline, your deals and the team you’ll help build.

  • Proven traction: 1,000+ paying customers, from fast-growing startups to enterprises like Atlassian, Zendesk, Samsara, Nielsen, Ironclad, Seismic and Gainsight, and growing fast.

  • Loved product: #1 Product of the Week on Product Hunt twice, 4.9/5 on G2, and fast-growing adoption among enterprise teams.

  • Tight-knit, top-tier team: Backed by Y Combinator, with a recent $10M Series A. You’ll work with a group of high-performing and driven people, each with a track record of excellence.

  • Epic offsites: Our last offsite was in Bali, and most of the team called it the best trip of their lives!

If you love building pipelines as much as closing it, we’d love to hear from you!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
