About the Role

We are

intuitive user experiences for web and AI-driven applications. The ideal candidate combines a strong design foundation with hands-on experience in frontend development (React, Tailwind CSS) and AI-integrated product interfaces.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — product managers, developers, and stakeholders — to transform complex user needs into simple, scalable, and delightful digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end product design process — from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.

  • Design, iterate, and implement UI components using Figma and collaborate with developers for seamless execution.

  • Work closely with frontend engineers, especially on React + Tailwind CSS based implementations, ensuring design fidelity.

  • Contribute to and evolve our design system for scalable and consistent user interfaces.

  • Integrate AI-driven interactions and workflows into product experiences where relevant.

  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously improve usability and accessibility.

  • Collaborate effectively in a remote environment using tools like Slack, Notion, and Jira.

  • Stay updated with emerging design trends, especially in AI-assisted UX/UI and frontend innovation.

Must-Have Skills
  • 5–8 years of experience as a Product Designer / UI-UX Designer in a digital product or SaaS environment.

  • Strong proficiency with Figma (mandatory) for design, prototyping, and component management.

  • Experience designing for web-based products implemented in React and Tailwind CSS.

  • Proven experience contributing to or maintaining design systems at scale.

  • Exposure to AI-driven products or workflows (e.g., designing AI interfaces, chatbots, assistants, etc.).

  • Solid understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and responsive design.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present design decisions clearly.

  • Prior experience working in remote or distributed teams.

Nice to Have
  • Basic coding ability in React.js, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript for developer collaboration.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Midjourney, or similar).

  • Experience in SaaS, product-based, or startup environments.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and performance-oriented design.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
