Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a highly motivated and experienced 787 Flightline Operations Manager to oversee our flightline operations and aircraft deliveries in San Antonio, Texas.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft during the delivery process, while leading a dedicated team committed to excellence. You will implement and promote safety protocols as a top priority, fostering a culture of safety and compliance throughout the operations. Additionally, you will leverage Lean principles to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and reduce waste, ensuring that our operations not only meet but exceed industry standards.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.
  • Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, Texas.
Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 4+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • 4+ years of experience working in Manufacturing or Flightline operations
  • 3+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Willing and able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Must have a valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to Go for Zero and Incident Injury Free principles
  • Experience working with contracted service providers

Shift:
This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is needed.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $112,200 - 151,800
