The Dispatch Requirements Group (DRG) is a critical part of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, responsible for developing and maintaining the Master Minimum Equipment Lists (MMELs) and Dispatch Deviations Guides (DDGs) for all Boeing aircraft models. - Utilizes knowledge of Airplane Systems, Airplane Operational Performance characteristics, and Regulatory Agency Operating rules to evaluate MMEL proposals.
- Collaborates with Airline Operators and Regulatory Authorities to ensure MMEL proposals meet compliance requirements and operational needs.
- Coordinates with internal engineering teams, technical pilots, Airline Customers, FAA and foreign regulatory agencies.
- Coordinates development of flight operations and maintenance procedures to be included in DDGs.
- Authors DDGs, using Adobe FrameMaker, to first-time quality and publish to a challenging schedule
- Assesses proposed changes to aircraft certification that could impact aircraft performance.
- Responds to Customer inquiries on all Boeing Commercial Airplane models.
- Continually champion improvements to technologies, tools and processes to enhance technological readiness, to improve aircraft performance, and to reduce cycle time and cost.
- Assesses proposed regulations and engineering changes to determine impact on cost, performance, producibility, maintainability, and safety.
- Works under general supervision and mentorship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- 1+ years of experience working with aerospace engineering principles (Aerodynamics, Airplane performance, or Flight Operations).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in performance analysis tools and software used in flight technology or dispatch engineering.
- Aerospace or Mechanical engineering degree.
