About the Role: Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is seeking a Financial Systems Developer to join our team. The Financial Systems Developer will work closely with internal and external development resources to provide solid technical solutions and satisfy stakeholder requirements. The business needs of the firm's global finance systems and applications are many, but general experience with MS stack C#/.NET development is preferred.
How will you make a difference as a Financial Systems Development Specialist II at Fragomen?
- Develop and maintain a variety of applications in and around 3E, from business analysis to coding, testing, and maintenance - 3E IDE customizations; EDG templates and Neuron ESB Integrations
- Prepare technical specifications for application and system modifications and enhancements
- Prepare functional process diagrams and document code in accordance with SDLC and best practices
- Provide technical support for delivered software product to other development team members and members of the wider global finance group
Leverage your valuable skills and experience to make an impact at Fragomen:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred
- At least three (3) years of experience designing, developing, implementing .NET custom applications
- Elite 3E IDE experience highly desirable
- Excellent knowledge of .Net Framework (Primarily VB.NET, C# train to VB.NET)
- Knowledge of XML related Technologies including XSLT. Proficiency in XML/XSLT transformation
- Solid SQL/OQL programming skills in a transaction processing environment. Good knowledge of database design, analysis and development
- Knowledge and experience of relevant Web Technologies: REST and SOAP Web APIs, JQuery and HTML5
- Knowledge and experience of relevant Reporting Technologies: SSRS/Crystal Reports
- Experience working for a law firm and liaising with the finance team is preferred, but knowledge of financial terms is required
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and design
- Ability to communicate with users, team members and management effectively and confidently
- Ability to work with business partners, business analysts and other software development teams to define system scope and objectives
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and be willing to research new topics in system administration
- Ability to evaluate and prioritize requests
- Proficient in writing efficient and maintainable code
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Flexible in working additional hours on an as needed basis
