This position is based in the Firm's global operations center in Tampa, FL.

General Description:
We are seeking a Financial Systems Business Senior Analyst to join our team. The Financial Systems Business Senior Analyst will play a key role in all projects involving financial applications including process reviews, application upgrades, process automation and installation of new products.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.
  • Develop, document and manage requirements for alternative processes.
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods by identifying and documenting business processes and workflows, business applications, planned projects and activities, and database content and structure.
  • Investigate business processes currently in use, documenting the process’ interaction with the current technologies
  • Understand and document the technology requirements in the future state business processes, including system requirements, data usage and system integration points
  • Anticipate, quantify and resolve problems and issues with requirements
  • Perform impact analysis on changes to requirements throughout project lifecycle
  • Translate business needs into system requirements and document appropriately
  • Provide support to business users after process or system changes​
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; and following proper escalation paths
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
  • Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)
  • Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements
  • Assess business process and system inefficiencies
  • Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements
  • Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates.
  • Expected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law. 
  • Special projects and duties as assigned. 

Required Skills:

  • Very detail oriented with the ability to administer key applications.
  • Experience with automating and streamlining processes.
  • Experience in working with databases. This would involve writing queries (specifically T-SQL), report writing, data warehousing and integration of multiple applications
  • Interact and communicate effectively with professionals in other administrative departments as well as attorneys and legal staff
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, or Microsoft 365.
     

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Accounting or business-related role
     

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Experience with legal finance would be an asset (Aderant Enterprise would be an advantage)
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
