Your Role

You will play a pivotal role in driving the company's financial planning and analysis efforts. You'll support the forecasting and budgeting process, assist in financial reporting, and undertake ad hoc analysis. The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial planning and analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This role is based in our Santa Monica, CA headquarters and reports to the Senior Director of Finance. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Support the development of the annual budget and ongoing forecast processes, including variance analysis and trend identification
  • Develop and maintain key metrics and reports to track financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains
  • Review month-end close activities in collaboration with the accounting team 
  • Build impactful, effective presentation materials (decks, write-ups, backup materials, etc.) that communicate the key insights to drive business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects and analyses
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance spend management across the organization

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 2-4 years of work experience in finance roles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to process data from multiple sources and build models from the ground up
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity
  • Collaborative with an ability to build and maintain close working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to regularly interface with executive management
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint

Hours and Compensation

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $90,000 - $110,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and local market rates.

  • Pay based on prior experience
  • Position will be based out of Santa Monica, Los Angeles - in person (Mon-Thurs in office/Friday remote)
