What You'll Do:
- Lead all aspects of the initial preparation of external SEC financial statements, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures in compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements
- Utilize financial reporting and consolidation tools such as Oracle FCCS and Workiva to produce accurate and timely filings
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Finance, Legal, Tax) to gather and validate information for disclosures
- Support the preparation of earnings materials and other external reporting deliverables
- Prepare technical accounting memos related to new business activities, transactions, and accounting standards
- Research and analyze accounting issues, detailing conclusions in accordance with US GAAP
- Partner with leadership to implement new accounting standards and disclosure requirements
- Assist in improving financial reporting processes, controls, and documentation to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Support internal and external audit requests related to financial reporting and technical accounting
- Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and review of work product
What You'll Need:
- BA/BS in Accounting; CPA required
- 6+ years of experience in financial reporting and/or technical accounting
- Experience with SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q) for a public company
- Prior experience in Big 4/public accounting and/or industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Experience with Oracle FCCS, Workiva, or similar financial reporting tools
- Strong technical accounting research and writing skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of SOX and internal control frameworks
