Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Finance Manager to lead financial planning, analysis, and functional support activities. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, people leadership, and hands-on financial modeling. The Finance Manager will collaborate across departments, guide finance team members, support key initiatives, and ensure alignment with enterprise-wide objectives.

This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual to be based in Orange, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial guidance within the framework of established policies while recommending policy enhancements and implementing new procedures to improve efficiency.

  • Manage and coordinate departmental activities with accountability for performance outcomes and potential budget oversight.

  • Analyze issues of diverse scope using sound judgment and a strong understanding of current business trends and financial best practices.

  • Act as a financial advisor to team members and internal partners, helping to resolve technical problems and ensuring timelines are met.

  • Lead the preparation and communication of monthly performance reviews, comparing actuals to plan, prior year, and forecasts.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for scenario planning, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis.

  • Conduct integrated revenue and expense analyses, financial projections, reconciliations, and business case development.

  • Support the annual budgeting and strategic planning processes, aligning financial goals with organizational strategy.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to create and monitor key performance indicators, cost savings, and process improvements.

  • Prepare and deliver financial presentations and reports for leadership, offering insight into performance metrics and business drivers.

  • Participate in or lead cross-functional initiatives that drive business growth and operational excellence.

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records, reporting, and compliance in line with internal controls.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field plus at least 8 years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, or accounting or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling) and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively across teams, and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Capable of operating independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • Experience interacting with senior leadership, adaptable to interact regularly with various levels of the organization
  • Experience leading a team including direct reports
  • Experience within a large, complex, public company environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, TM1, Hyperion, Cognos, or similar platforms preferred.
