What you'll do:

AmeriHome Mortgage is looking for a Power BI expert to join our Capital Market’s Analytics Team as a Financial Engineer. The Analytics team works closely with the firm’s trading desk and is responsible for building and maintaining the firm’s core financial and optimization models and providing analytical support for trading and hedging. This role is ideal for a passionate professional eager to leverage their expertise in Power BI to drive innovative solutions and support our trading desk. You will be responsible for designing and developing innovative and creative dashboards that help identify market trends and separate signal from noise, enabling our team to make data-driven decisions with confidence. This position offers a progressive career path and continued professional growth.
  • Develop innovative and creative Power BI dashboards that help identify market trends and separate signal from noise.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations using Power BI to communicate insights effectively.
  • Continuously improve and optimize Power BI dashboards to enhance decision-making processes.  
  • Provide analytical support for trading and hedging activities using Power BI.
  • Create, maintain, and deliver quantitative processes including data mining, predictive modeling, and other complex data processing.
  • Design, develop and maintain tools for the firm’s trading desks to support bidding, hedging, pooling.

What you'll need:

  • Requires either (i) an advanced degree in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or some other technically rigorous curriculum or (ii) 2+ years of work experience in quantitative finance.
  • Power BI experience required.
  • Requires a strong background in Power BI, C#, SQL Server, Excel and Excel VBA.
  • Experience manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources, a plus.
  • Previous support of trading desks or knowledge of fixed income trading, mortgage banking or correspondent lending, a plus.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, including the use of tools like R or Python, a plus.

                                                      

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $107,395.00 - $120,000.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
