Position Overview:

As a Financial Analyst at Belkin, you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and operational excellence across the organization. This position encompasses four primary areas of focus: New Product Introduction (NPI) process, Operational Expense (OPEX) Management, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Sales Channel Support. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

FP&A

  • Monthly financial analysis: Prepare monthly analyses of financial results, including financial statement variances against budget, trend analysis, and account analysis. Provide explanations and recommendations for gap closure or corrective action.
  • Annual budget preparation: including preparing the financial budgeting model, uploading and validating data into the database, creating reports and analyses, and coordinating with key personnel from various departments.
  • Financial metrics monitoring: Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, providing insights to optimize business performance.
OPEX Management
  • Help drive and update OPEX budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for R&D departments.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, profit improvement, and tracking performance against targets.
  • Oversee PM & Engineering Monthly Accrual/Reclass process, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses and adherence to accounting standards.
New Product Introduction (NPI) process:
  • Partner with Global and Regional Product Managers to evaluate the financial feasibility of new product initiatives using financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Monitor NPI budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
Sales Channel Support
  • Work closely with the sales team to analyze channel performance and profitability.
  • Evaluate pricing strategies, promotions, and sales incentives to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Provide financial support for sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.
Other
  • Ad hoc projects as required in support of business and strategic initiatives.
  • Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Possess a BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience within the consumer electronics or technology industry.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of accounting concepts and financial statement construction.
  • Advanced Excel: the ability to create complex functions, lookups, and pivot tables is a must.
  • Data-focused: Acquired, analyzed, and leveraged data to drive forecasting and identify risks and opportunities for financial results versus plan.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulously reviewed financial data and reports to ensure accuracy and precision, maintaining a keen eye for detail in all aspects of financial analysis and reporting.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and anticipate workload/issue impacts on team deadlines; positive work attitude, including willingness to work longer hours during peak periods.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase, ERP System, Business Objects, and Power BI is a plus.

Range for this position:

$71,000 - $75,000

Factors such as geographic location, academic credentials, relevant experience, and specific knowledge, skills and abilities will influence the actual salary offered. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, compensation also includes a performance-based bonus, and in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
