The Financial Analyst analyzes financial information for the company within assigned accounts, products, or business units to track progress against financial goals. They measure current financial performance and use financial models, trends, and forecasts to guide decisions

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Support financial forecasting, financial analysis and ad hoc deliverables; synthesize concepts to create analysis & explanations that are clear, concise and credible
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Track progress against financial goals by collecting and analyzing financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units
  • Guide decision-making by reporting and analyzing current or expected financial performance, creating financial models
  • Identify modifications for processes, plans, and controls through robust quantitative analysis
  • Ensure data integrity through reconciliation, data quality audits, and robust process documentation
  • Develop and maintain robust data infrastructure and reporting solutions, such as data warehouses and interactive dashboards, to consolidate diverse financial data and deliver actionable performance insights
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive forecast model accuracy
  • Assist with financial data and reports needed for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors
  • Support culture of financial transparency and continuous improvement

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively problem-solve
  • Expertise in analytics and reporting tools to develop dashboards and interactive analytics
  • Proficiency querying data, manipulating results, and automating reporting using different systems or applications
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite, with specific emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to improve processes, utilizing technology to improve efficiencies
  • Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into clear and compelling narratives
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to gain an understanding of processes and overall workflow of accounting
  • Strong intuitive and analytical skills

Qualifications

  • Education- bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience- 2+ years of related experience analyzing, modeling, financial planning & analysis, and/or financial reporting 
  • Experience with general ledgers, databases and report writing
