Financial Analyst – Oakland, CA (Hybrid)

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial health of our organization. From analyzing statements and building financial models to supporting cross-functional teams with insights and recommendations, this is a hands-on role where your analytical and problem-solving skills will have a direct impact on our success.

This position is hybrid, with 2–3 days per week in our Oakland office, and reports to the Director of FP&A.

What You’ll Do

  • Support month-end close processes and reconciliations.
  • Develop and refine monthly and quarterly financial analysis frameworks.
  • Review and analyze financial metrics, statements, and reports to identify key drivers of performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and evaluate opportunities for improvement.
  • Build financial models and projections to support strategic decision-making.
  • Inspect accounting systems for efficiency and compliance with best practices.
  • Recommend improvements to reduce costs, enhance revenue, and improve profitability.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Assess financial risks and provide best-practice recommendations.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research and analysis as needed.
  • Contribute to the Quality Management System (QMS).

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or Accounting. Master’s, MBA, or CPA a plus.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting (manufacturing industry experience a plus).
  • Skills & Traits:
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to clearly present financial data to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite; NetSuite, Odoo, or data analytics tools a plus.
    • Japanese language proficiency strongly preferred.
