The Opportunity

As a Financial Advisor at GoldBook Financial, you will have the opportunity to build and manage your own practice while delivering comprehensive financial strategies tailored to each client's unique goals and circumstances.

This is an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven role designed for advisors who want greater ownership of their career and client relationships while having access to the training, mentorship, technology, marketing resources, and experienced professionals needed to grow.

You will work with individuals, families, and business owners to develop long-term strategies across areas such as wealth management, retirement planning, life insurance, disability income protection, long-term care, estate planning, and business planning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive financial strategies based on clients' goals, risk tolerance, financial circumstances, and time horizons.
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with individuals, families, and business owners while growing your book of business through networking, referrals, professional connections, and other business-development strategies.
  • Conduct ongoing client reviews and proactively adjust strategies as clients' financial needs and life circumstances evolve.
  • Collaborate with experienced advisors and internal specialists to provide clients with a truly holistic financial planning experience.
  • Leverage technology, marketing support, and training to strengthen and grow your practice.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and regulatory compliance while continually strengthening your financial expertise, business-development skills, and client-service capabilities.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of successful experience in financial advisory or wealth management services.
  • Active Life, Accident & Health insurance licenses.
  • Active FINRA registrations, including Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65), preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting production goals and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
  • Proficiency with advanced financial planning software such as eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or Morningstar.
  • An existing transferable book of business or a strong local professional network.
  • Advanced degree, such as an MBA or a Master’s in Finance.

Total Compensation

First year advisors’ to experienced advisors’ variable performance-based compensation range: $51,000 to $320,000+ per year (with experienced specialist advisors' income greatly exceeding this range)
